MAÏENGA, organizer of the Students Challenge, is officially certified ISO 14001:2004
This international standard guarantees – through VERITAS, accredited independent certification body - that MAÏENGA has introduced an Environmental Management System (EMS) for integrating environmental policy into its actions and its global management strategy. ISO 14001 certification is based on the identification of environmental impacts, possible solutions for improvement, and the introduction of suitable processes.
MAÏENGA is happy to make this contribution to the protection of the environment in which it is evolving.
With this action, MAÏENGA hopes to serve as an example to the world of event management, an example provided to future generations by tomorrow’s players: today’s students!

The organizer offset, with Action Carbone.org, all carbon dioxide emissions due to travel connected with the Students Challenge 2008, 2009 and 2010 (airplane, boat, car)
In a spirit of respect and the desire for a fair distribution of the financial benefits of the event, the organisation will treat the local personnel working on the event in a respectful manner, and provide them with a decent wage.
In this way the organiser hopes to ensure better living conditions for the marginalized populations of the desert.
